Weed is absent, so that means Bo and John should have brought way more funny and instead they just brought way more comics and lice. Cue Sad Trombone.

The Weiners are back and better than ever, although in absolute truth, that is still way below the national average! Checking out some Flashpoint and Rocketeer, talking a bit about The Rapture and Macho Man, secretly wishing someone would buy them a bunch of action figures and comics!
*Note – We are still recovering a bit from a computer failure, so please excuse some mic crackling with this episode. Thank you

How did Lizzie Hexem actually come to help Tom Taylor? That is the question to be answered by Unwritten #17, but it might not be the same answer for everyone, as the book is in CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE style! Did it work for a series that is not afraid to take chances?
Weed checks out a whole slew of comics including Brightest Day #10, Marvel Universe vs Punisher, DV8 #6, Joe Barbarian, Birds of Prey, Morning Glories, & Hack Slash. He also has a chance to see BOSTON MARRIAGE (after his NYC Marriage).
Steege lets us know of a comic book called Rex Manitu put out by a local artist, and checks in with the comic book version of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time. John is still very excited about 1 Month 2 Live and is loving the war comics this month from DC Comics. Bo crushes on Batman before moving onto Hawks of Outremer, Widow Warriors and Kodiak.

The Weiners, during a good Iowa thunderstorm, check out a comic book they have been meaning to read more of: the comic from Tim Seeley call Hack Slash, this series being called My First Maniac, an origin tale for one the heroine Cassie. A shout out to THE CORE in Cedar Falls for hooking us up with some White Lantern Power Rings!
Bo checks out Robert E Howard’s Hawks of Outremer (Boom), Heroclix Blackest Night, The Buzzard (Dark Horse) and Batman #700 (plannning to jump on board with the series)! Travis checks out some Batman books as well, and teams up with Steege to check out Fame The Lady Gaga Comic (Bluewater Studios).
Steege then also checks out Philip K Dick’s Electric Ant (Marvel) and God of War (Wildstorm), the movie The Seventh Seal and then gushes about an opera called Wagner’s Das Rheingold! John checks out a book that was recommended to him long ago, a French hardcover collection called Blacksad (Dark Horse). Weed then tells us more about Game of Thrones, Secret Six and Unwritten.

The guys check out the latest offering from Marvels ever expanding all ages titles, this one being Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers Unleashed! Then TRAVIS SLAPS JOHN IN THE FACE! No really, check it out, it has a pretty sweet sound to it. The shows gets slightly raunchier to countract the family friendly comic they are reveiwing. The Weiners then talk about Pride of Baghdad, 100 Bullets, Unwritten, Criminal Sinners, Star Trek TNG, Bozo The Clown, Iron West, Jonah Hex, and Andy Griffith. And then some listener mail about how unprofessional some of the guests of the show are!
