Tales of the Geek Lantern Corps – Review of “45″

Our buddy over at Tales of the Geek Lantern Corps has given his two cents about a recent graphic novel called “45″ from Com.x, and just the list of the people working on this comic is impressive as hell! Andy Ewington! Sean Phillips! Charlie Adlard! That not it, there is more (go look at the full list, it is IMPRESSIVE!). Anyways, check out Brian’s review at his site TALES OF THE GEEK LANTERN CORPS!

The meat and potatoes of the comic book world is super heroes stories and while I certainly love that genre, more so than I should sometimes, it just isn’t for everyone. Some people will scoff the idea of taking any story involving super heroes seriously. My recommendation: take those people (and yourself if you haven’t already) and make them read 45, a graphic novel that captures the human side of super heroes better than almost anything out there. Tales of the Geek Lantern Corps

A friend of the show and fellow geek/dork/hardcore homeboy, Brian Lyons (not the Brian we always mention on the show, this one is MUCH MUCH classier) has started up a pretty good blog detailing all aspects of his geekier side! Look for games, comic books, movies and if I get my wish, Huey Lewis and the News tributes to be featured on the site!

There is something magical about the lazy susan he takes photos of his comics/other keen stuff on . . . the wood grain pulls you in, almost hypnotizing you into reading on! I really looks forward to hearing him talk about the graphic novel “45″ (hint hint).

Also, if you can, I highly suggest following it RSS style or now off to the right side is an option to “follow” his blog with one of your social accounts. Not sure if we will add this to our site or not, but it is a great way to keep track and up to date on all the sites you follow that feature this option.
