So I have read a few stories about the “Monsters” movie that is coming out, and above is one of the first trailers for the film. It seems interesting, and the special effects seem all the more impressive when you realize they are supplied by one man doing them on his computer. Not only does Gareth Edwards do the special effects, he also writes, directs and get coffee for others . . . he is a one man crew!
So there are a bunch of fans of Joss Whedon’s Firefly and Serenity fans who spend their days and possibly nights creating space ships that might exist in said self same galaxy, including for the fan film Bellflower.
So they were quite surprised to see images of their ships appear in the recent Dark Horse Serenity series, Float Out.
Just in case you are one of the three of the last dorks who haven’t seen this (or just kep having trouble tracking it down online as they keep getting pulled), thanks to Daily Motion, we can place it right here for your beady little eyes to soak in.
Here is a pretty nifty site where you can check out and buy all of your favorite classic movie posters with a slight twist . . . they turn them all into zombies!
I am crossing my fingers for a Night of the Living Dead one . . . no wait . . .
As sent in by our buddy Travis (who had drawn awesome Cyclops drawing he sent us) of Beneath The Surface/End Of An Age fame . . . he is also famous for his pickle trick, but that is a story for another time!
Seriously, this is 40 minutes of some pretty damn good stuff . . .
Check it out fast, it might just go missing soon with all the studios and Youtube cracking down on this . . . but this one has been on awhile . . . strange, maybe AMC is being smart about the whole thing and realizes that this will be the best exposure they can get! The show seems like it is going to be a good adaptation, things are changed, which should keep it fresh, but it seems to also remain true to the formula for the most part (at least in this short clip). And the little girl zombie is creeeeeeeeeeeepy!
As fans of the zombie genre (but really, who isn’t these days?), there is so much out there right now, much of which seems very generic. This is one that really sticks out to me not only because it seems to launching into a very new territory of zombie movies, but at the same time seems like it could be very familiar. Looking forward to this one!
This pretty much looks like what I imagined in my head when I found out Seth Rogan was starring as Green Hornet . . . just with no weed or dick jokes (as of yet). Not terribly excited to see it, but I will give it a watch and hell, probably enjoy it.
A friend of the show by the name of Tyler is in an upcoming indie flick called “Feline Frenzy”. He plays the part of “the Stranger” which when he told me I just thought he was in his apartment sitting on his hand and jerking off. But he is in the below video an awful lot . . . he is the crazy bastard . . . yeah, you will figure out who is is rather quickly.
The purrfect crime: a kindly stranger offers the promise of a final supper and one last caress only to lure each ginger to her grizzly death.
“Feline Frenzy” is part noir, part grindhouse film, and all frenzied fun. Two detectives track a serial killer as the body count piles up. One detective is assigned to go undercover because she’s the only redhead in the 79th precinct. Will she make it out alive? Can she stop the feline frenzy?
