Comics! Ok seriously I don’t have a snappy opening I just am really digging comics right now . There are a lot of good stories running now, and it’s so easy to find info on more books. The downfall you can go broke reading them all. I have tried very hard to avoid buying full runs on sale on Comixology , thanks to my friends helping with free codes to help satiate my withdrawals.

Yes damnit I know this is an all ages title , and if you read this and listen to Weed and his merry band of Weiner sidekicks you probably not an all ages kind of person. Well suck it up and read it , good art, good writing what else do you want. Plus everyone’s life should include more flying monkey’s .
Epic Kill #1 $2.99

I’m a sucker for #1’s its been said here a few times already, and this is a pretty good size book (31 pages) at a decent price. The preview is brutal don’t use epic when it’s in the title it’s like using puns. But the story sounds cool a kid training her whole life to kill the president, and he has sent assassins to kill her. My concerns is if it ends up being to sexual which the cover is a tease but it’s a #1 so expected.

Man this was so good it was the wrap up of the Omega Effect Tie-in and it kicked ass. I have no real interest in any of the main characters, but Waid does such a good job mixing the stories , and the dialogue feels so real . I could see myself buying this again in print because the art is so good (with one exception but I’ll leave that alone) . It is so easy to scoff at crossovers but this one does it’s job it made me interested in Punisher and Daredevil and I can see myself checking these out on the reg. I dare you to find a preview read the first 4 pages and not be hooked.

Ok this is your bi-weekly reminder to BUY THIS BOOK. I only need to say one other thing and if that doesn’t convince you nothing will. Look at the cover Optimus and Megatron fighting side by side. Plus cool twist at the end.

I jumped on this book last month thanks to a friend, and am really digging it. Especially the Hulk stuff I’m not normally a Hulk guy but they use him real well in this book. The art really has been what’s doing it for me though this is another team vs team book this time involving the Children and S.H.I.E.L.D fighting and a pre-emptive nuclear strike so obviously art sells it. I’m in for the long haul an example of a good story hooking you.
That’s it for this week picked up a few other things Smallville which is a weekly and it was great but brainless Superman not much to say just fun stories, also there was one good free book on Comixology this week Swamp Thing #1 so remember to grab that little blast from the past.
