Burnt Weiners Episode 032 Seabear and Grizzly Shark

What happens when a great reversal of land and sea results in a bear in the sea and a shark in the woods? Well , the Weiners are dying to find out! They check out the latest offering from Image Comics called Seabear and Grizzly Shark #1.
Check out Tales of the Geek Lantern Corps at http://talesofthegeeklanterncorps.blogspot.com
Weed checks out some digital comics, Arkham Asylum Killer Croc, Joe the Barbarian, and DV8 Gods and Monsters. Steege brings more of a great comic to the group in the form of Phillip K Dick’s Electric Ant (Marvel), a not so great Resident Evil (Wildstorm) comic book, Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time and avoids washing his body so he has time to play Kingdom Heroes.
John is so very excited about where Zatanna (DC) and 7 Pyschopaths (Boom) and how quickly crazy people can turn on you! Bo and John disagree on the newest Green Arrow comic book, and then Bo once again squeals like a little girl about how goo The Tick (New England) is and talks about some creepy anatomy of the comic!

Hyperbole and a Half
I’m sick and its past my bedtime, but I cannot stop laughing out loud (yes, actually LOLing) at this blog I just found.
The posts exactly describe the predicaments of life with terse wit and hilarious MSPaint illustrations!
Sneaky Hate Spiral: “Sneaky hate spirals begin simply enough. In fact, that is one of the hallmarks of sneaky hate spirals – they are merely the confluence of many unremarkable annoyances…”
World’s Best Relationship Tips: “Another problem in many relationships is that women feel like they have to do all the boring chores and the men just get to go out and ride around on dirt bikes and throw pies at each other.”
This is Why I’ll Never Be an Adult: “…a few times a year, I spontaneously decide that I’m ready to be a real adult. … I sit myself down and tell myself how I’m going to start cleaning the house every day and paying my bills on time and replying to emails before my inbox reaches quadruple digits. Schedules are drafted. Day-planners are purchased. … I prepare for my new life as an adult like some people prepare for the apocalypse.”
Tales of the Geek Lantern Corps
A friend of the show and fellow geek/dork/hardcore homeboy, Brian Lyons (not the Brian we always mention on the show, this one is MUCH MUCH classier) has started up a pretty good blog detailing all aspects of his geekier side! Look for games, comic books, movies and if I get my wish, Huey Lewis and the News tributes to be featured on the site!
There is something magical about the lazy susan he takes photos of his comics/other keen stuff on . . . the wood grain pulls you in, almost hypnotizing you into reading on! I really looks forward to hearing him talk about the graphic novel “45″ (hint hint).
Also, if you can, I highly suggest following it RSS style or now off to the right side is an option to “follow” his blog with one of your social accounts. Not sure if we will add this to our site or not, but it is a great way to keep track and up to date on all the sites you follow that feature this option.
Burnt Weiners Episode 031 Jokers Asylum II Harley Quinn

It’s a madhouse or so they say! The Weiners check out Joker’s Asylum II, this one focusing on Harley Quinn and her obsession of Valentine’s Day and Mistah J!
Travis also checks out another Joker’s Asylum title centering around Mad Hatter, Brightest Day and Birds of Prey. Weed also talks a bit bout Birds of Prey and Brightest Day, but also checks out some more Batman tales. Steege checks out the Mass Effect comic, oversees a wedding, and gets into a PS2 game called Xenosaga.
John gets berated while talking about The Boys, Crossed and was very happy with the ending of Forgetless(Image). Bo once agin gets his Star Trek trek back on trek (take that!) and is enjoying Spider-Man.

SEALAB 2021: Whale Cancer
I forgot how awesome this was. This show was the best show ever. Whale Cancer… F’ yeah!
Green Hornet Trailer
This pretty much looks like what I imagined in my head when I found out Seth Rogan was starring as Green Hornet . . . just with no weed or dick jokes (as of yet). Not terribly excited to see it, but I will give it a watch and hell, probably enjoy it.
Cyclops at his best!
A burntweiners.com exclusive! A friend of the show, Travis (not our fat Travis, but a skinnier, more metal version) had a little free time in MS Paint and a whole lot of hate for one of the leaders of the X-Men! The sound effect spelling of him pooping himself is a classic! The original file will soon be auctioned off by us! Bidding starts at $12,000 (and expect it to go up)
Burnt Weiners Episode 030 Hack Slash My First Maniac #1

Bo checks out Robert E Howard’s Hawks of Outremer (Boom), Heroclix Blackest Night, The Buzzard (Dark Horse) and Batman #700 (plannning to jump on board with the series)! Travis checks out some Batman books as well, and teams up with Steege to check out Fame The Lady Gaga Comic (Bluewater Studios).
Steege then also checks out Philip K Dick’s Electric Ant (Marvel) and God of War (Wildstorm), the movie The Seventh Seal and then gushes about an opera called Wagner’s Das Rheingold! John checks out a book that was recommended to him long ago, a French hardcover collection called Blacksad (Dark Horse). Weed then tells us more about Game of Thrones, Secret Six and Unwritten.

The Variants: A Comic Book Shop Web Series
The Variants is a hilarious web series following several employees (and yes, all the zany customers) of a comic shop. It seems to follow a very sitcom type feel (a little bit The Office, a splash of The Guild, and even some influences from British television can be felt), but on a subject that not many have touched upon, that being the back room and sales floor of the comic book shop. Many of the characters are enjoyable in their quirky ways, even the ones that are meant to be a bit grating and remind you why you don’t always want to be associated with this crowd!

Burntweiners #30 delayed
Sorry folks, due to our podcast server host suspending our account, the show is ready, but might not be out for a couple days. Seems we haven’t paid our bill in a couple months . . . which is news to us. Hopefully this will be resolved quickly, and we appreciate the patience.
COMIC JUMPER (XBLA)
Sign me up! This game is by the same group who created THE MAW and ‘SPLOSION MAN! Loved both of those games, and this looks like it could be a damn fun game! It does still look a bit rough, so I hope that gets ironed out, but so far the look and style of the game has me won over!
