Burnt Weiners Episode 006 North 40 #6

Due to some weather issues, the guys have to review a comic that came out the previous week . . . hooray for the Midwest! The last issue of North 40 makes everyone yearn for more. Then they all talk about harpies, God Complex #1, turkey balls and some other fun topics. Did we mention that the guys kick the show off with an interview with a 4 year old comic reader!!!!! Burnt Weiners Episode 005 Blackest Night 5

HOLY CRAP BATMAN! The guys invite a few guests to the show: Travis, a gent who has joined us before, and Steege, who is not much of a comic book reader. They all had a chance to look at Blackest Night #5, and then due to revolutions in technology, are able to record their audio conversation about it and post it to the internet for you! Steege brings up the point he does not like pop culture references in his comic books. All the guys then talk quickly about The Fantastic Mr Fox, Star Trek (again?), Left 4 Dead II, Monster Camp, Lobo, Freakangels (a fantastic free online comic book, see link below), North 40, Phillip K Dick. Then they leave by listening to a demo of a track from one of Bo’s bands that he plays bass guitar in!

Burnt Weiners Episode 004 Batman Doc Savage Part 2

The episode that just would not die! The men, yes the episode was so long they graduated from boys to men (boys II men?) keep talking about comics, movies and other dorky stuff. John brings up the newest issue of Punisher (Frankencastle) and how he is wrestling with accepting it. We also then talk about some friends including an artist buddy of ours called Eric Gapstur!

Burnt Weiners Episode 003 The Tick #1

While Weed is away the other weiners will play (oh sweet jesus I cannot believe I typed that). Filling in today is Travis, someone who is pretty new to comic books, but who is very, very enthusiastic about Green Lantern . . . soooo instead of talking about Green Lantern the guys take a look at the new Tick #1 from New England Comics. Then they talk a little bit about the newest Star Trek movie and a few other comic books.
